Hello Guild Mates, I thought we should play a game whereby we try and brainstorm possible routes for our character can go down for the RP. The rules of the game are simple: Tag someone in your post. Then, give an adjective that describes their RP character best, a possible sidestory of theirs they would like to go down, what you like about their character or how they can make their character even better. The person, after reading the post, must then tag someone else and repeat the cycle. It cannot be the same person as before. Soon, we can better understand our characters and bring them to a higher level. After all, how often is it that you get feedback on your Rp character? I'll start first then, Darth MeebMeeb, I think your characters sidestory is a pretty interesting route to take. Since belonging to a great house is an important and distinguishing feature, maybe you could develop into Drayle's thoughts and feelings about his family more/ why he doesn't really speak to them? That'll be really cool since your history is a prominent part of Drayle

I will gladly Accept Geel, backstory is one of my favorite parts of characters since they provide you with a foundation you can build character development off of. As I said in my backstory, Drayle is the third son of a high ranking Telvanni mage from Sadrith Mora. Since he is the youngest of his family it is highly unlikely he would inherit anything from his father. In feudal times it was customary for a Noble to give his younger sons minor fiefs to govern to keep them happy, however such fiefs were not his to give so he did not have that option. Instead Drayle was going to be educated as a mage, as most Telvanni were, but when it was found he was also fairly athletic and skilled in swordsmanship Drayles father quickly switched his training over to martial focus in order to make him a guard. The reason why he did this was because he knew from experience many mages become power hungry from the exposure to such power, and he didn't want his youngest son getting ideas of grandeur and trying to take power from his older brothers. A guard career would keep him sufficiently humbled. Now obviously Drayle wasn't to happy being a guard, I mean its probably the most boring job in morrowind, especially in such a safe Island city. The life did not suit Drayle's adventurous spirit, and he wasn't too happy living in the shadow of his noble family either, knowing he would never rise to be anything more than what he was now. This was the background behind his decision to leave his home and his family, in Sadrith Mora he was nothing but the youngest son of a noble, never to do anything important with his life. Out of Sadrith Mora there was an entire continent to explore and make a name for himself in. His family was almost glad to see him go as well, since it meant he would probably never return to threaten his brothers inheritance. So when he was 22 he left, and there is a year which transpires between him leaving and the rp's start. During that time Drayle gets to know more about the world outside his home city, although he is still slightly ignorant of distant places. His feelings about his family: While he doesn't bear any ill will against them, Drayle certainly feels little compassion for most of his family members. His mother was not especially caring towards him, she was too busy focusing on her four other children (two sons two daughters). His older siblings were fairly distant from him, aside from his sister closest to his age, who was in a similar situation as himself and related to him the most. His departure from Sadrith Mora marked his breaking of ties with that family and that life, saying he didn't wish to go with the flow of society, he wanted to move out on his own into the world and make a name for himself that he earned with his own sweat and blood. In addition to his personal feelings about his family, his opinion of his house is similar. While the Telvanni are regarded as very powerful mages, they are also know for the enslavement of other races (second to house Dres, at least until the Pact abolished slavery). That and the fact that the Telvanni refused to sign into the Ebonheart Pact makes them fairly disliked by the Nords and Argonians, as well as many other Dunmer. Drayle shares this opinion about them, although he prefers not to talk about it. He obviously sees why slavery is bad, and bears no ill will against argonians or any other race of man or mer. To wrap everything up into a few sentences I would say this: Drayle is a Dunmer of Noble blood who wishes to cast off his titles and forge his own through his own deeds. This doesn't mean he wants fame or glory, he just wants to be known as someone who has done good things, whether they be world saving or village saving. Right, Thats all I can think of to say. If anyone has questions feel free to ask, I think thats part of the game right kilc? I'll pass on to: OnlyAhaarkI'm interested to hear your characters opinion on vampirism, how he has dealt with it, what he thinks of other vampires, and how he feels about the way society treats his kind. I'd also be interested to know what Ahaark thinks of Molag Baal, since he is the partial creator of vampirism and is currently trying to merge Nirn with his own realm. I wonder how a vampire feels about that?
