I cannot stress enough the importance of this. By far, this will be the one thing that me, as Admin, will be set off about if you do not understand the importance of patience as a RULE OF THE WEBSITE. I, just like everyone else on this website, are from different states all over my country--and beyond that from different countries all over the world. We all run on different time zones, and being able to respond and be apart of roleplays/websites such as this one is a leisure privilege we can only get to when the time is right. This means, for most people, that real life issues have to be taken care of in order to have the time needed to spend an hour or two to update their personal literary roles on our website. It is your job, as a fellow roleplayer, and a registered member of this website to understand that people get busy. You need to be patient, and patient extends to being able to understand the fact that above all else relations in real life precede over any story no matter how intense the plot of your roleplay is getting. Because in my opinion, and I am sure most agree, if I am busy and I have things going on that are causing my life to be a bit more stressed than usual--I could care less about a small paragraph or two of catching up in any story that will always be there for me to return to and help get back on it's feet in my absence. More than just occasionally for the daily lives of individuals of this present life, no matter the country, day to day life has a lot to keep them caught up with. So understand what patience means, and if you don't, educate yourself on how to comprehend it.In all respect of course, however, this doesn't mean that disappearing without a moment's notice is by any means excusable. I myself am in my second to last semester of finishing my first degree before going away to get my bachelor's and for me, this is a very busy and crucial period in my life when it comes to studying and homework loads. On top of that, I work full time as a manager of a kitchen for a daycare that is family owned--so I am constantly on the go, in fact, I hardly have time for real life friendships and seek comfort in writing online and having an internet social life because of how busy I am. But, despite all that, even when I can't have my leisure time as I have been greatly blessed with to be able to work on this project at least once a day for a few hours--I am still able to manage to check in even if so for a few minutes for a day and keep in touch. Sure, perhaps a roleplay post or two won't get caught up--but for those moments where I am only able to keep in contact by conversation rather than devote a few hours to being creative, I let my members know. I let those I am invested in, with longterm role-plays, that I have things going on. And if things get really busy, I don't just do so once. I will frequently update them and give them a time frame if needed (like how it has been for me recently with finals going on and all) to when they should expect me back to post, and detail them briefly on what's going on so they can understand what I am going through.<-- That, too, is expected of you. We are a family, a community, and we rely and feed off one another to keep our stories alive. What one things is sadder to see than a person becoming impatient is to watch a very powerfully potential creative story not find a beginning, middle, and end. So, if you have things going on--those who are waiting on them chill the heck out and let them LIVE. Otherwise, what is the point of life if we have to be glued to a computer screen all of the time? And for those of you who are out doing that living--keep in touch. We like your face, so, keep it around as often as you want and can!
