here is the timing for the Minecraft Game.
Please tell us as soon as possible if you are coming so we can be better prepared.

1st game
Date: Saturday, 12 October
Time: 10pm (SGT)

Description: This will be the game for new players to learn Minecraft's basics. We will be playing survival on a server of OnlyAhaark and Sir Jackleberry selection.

So, are we creating our own server? I'd personally be more comfortable with that, and it'd probably be the best choice anyways considering some of us are still new to Minecraft. I mean, I'd do it myself (I know how), but I don't think my internet is sufficient enough to host. :/

(Renting a server is also a possibility)

If Ahaark can do it, we'll leave it to him. If not, I'll go see if my laptop can do it. Though I overheat while playing Skyrim, Running Minecraft is a piece of cake. My internet connection aint bad either.

Its 9 o'clock my time right? Which would be just about exactly 24 hours from now If so I will be free (I usually am on the weekend), hopefully that thing you sent me works kilc, I will use that until I can afford to actually buy the game myself if it does I will join you guys

Just a (late) heads up, if anyone plans on using a cracked version, you won't be able to connect to any servers unfortunately.

Hmm, that's weird. How come my crack lets me connect to a server?

You use a cracked version? Well I do believe that some servers allow it, depending on the settings. (Last time I checked anyways, I could be completely wrong)

Anyways, so far I'm having very little luck in finding a suitable server. I may have found a couple that could work though.

Nah it's okay, I don't think any of us are using crack. I just recently switched to the official game, and as far as I know those which are coming are also using a payed version.

And more good news- Meeb will be joining us on Minecraft.

Alright, then I'll give a shot using my own laptop. It might overheat and kill all of us, but hopefully that won't be the case. I'll have to learn how to set one up though

Well that's good! And Meeb is coming too? So that would make about 6 of us then, cool. ^_^

Setting up a server shouldn't be too hard, all you gotta do is download the server thing from the official website, mess around with some settings, and you should be good to go! I do believe the process involves 'port forwarding' or something, but I was never able to figure that out, it was easier to use a VPN thing like Hamachi.

yeah I decided to forgo eating for a week and buy minecraft instead (jk I still have food)

I would mess around with the server thing to try to get one working, but my university internet is to crappy to be a good host, it would probably make everyone lag all the time

Ugh, I can't get port forwarding either! My username and password to my router is wrong apparently.

Ah well. so that program you suggested(hamachi)- It can host non-local players? I have absolutely given up on using port forwarding since the internal ip address checker tried to install adware on my computer.

It should, I'm pretty sure that's what it's supposed to do, and I've seen other people host public Hamachi-Minecraft servers before.

And yes, it does, not sure how much of a problem that would be.
